Medical Staff Bonuses and KPI-Linked Pay: What It Means for Suppliers
Uzbekistan is reforming medical pay: bonuses up to 50 million soum, registration from 2027, KPI and patient ratings. Which suppliers benefit.

What happened
Uzbekistan announced a support package for medical workers. Foreign doctors will get bonuses up to 50 million soum and the right to form their own team. From 2027, monthly supplements for doctors in remote areas will rise from 2 million to 4.5 million soum. Also from July 2027, state registration of medical workers will begin, becoming mandatory in 2030. Registered doctors and pharmacists will receive bonuses of 7 million soum, nurses 3.5 million. Pay will be tied to KPI and patient ratings. The state will cover 25% of the down payment on mortgages for 500 young medical workers per year and help with housing for 1,000 people who have worked in the field for at least 15 years.
The context is simple: the state is investing to retain and attract staff. Medical workers can choose where to upgrade their qualifications, and bachelor's and master's graduates get supplements; residency becomes free. All this means more jobs, more training places, and more load on infrastructure — from equipment to consumables.
What it means for suppliers
Those working with medical infrastructure and training can benefit. A growing staff and an influx of specialists into the regions create demand for office equipment, furniture, consumables, and for training and upskilling services. According to TenderLabs data as of October 27, 2026, the "Medicine" sector has 193 open lots — a noticeable but not the largest pool; "Equipment and Technology" has 500 lots, "Education and Training" 109. If you supply medical equipment or organize training, keep these areas in focus.
When to expect tenders? Right now, procurement will go through upskilling and equipment programs — money for these has already been announced. Registration of medical workers from 2027 will require IT solutions and administrative services, but specific lots will appear closer to launch. Bonuses and KPI are a payroll matter; they don't directly create procurement, but indirectly increase purchasing power for services and goods for medical staff.
What to do now
- 1Check whether you have valid qualification documents and licenses for supplying medical goods and services — without them you won't pass selection.
- 2Build a portfolio for training medical staff: programs, trainers, reviews. Demand for upskilling will grow.
- 3Subscribe to TenderLabs notifications for the "Medicine", "Equipment and Technology", and "Education and Training" sectors.
- 4Check your warehouse stock and delivery times for common consumables — seasonal demand growth may catch you off guard.
- 5If you work in IT, look into medical worker registration: accounting and identification solutions may be needed as early as 2027.
