Solar Plant with Storage in Nurabad: What It Means for Suppliers
The energy minister checked progress on the ACWA solar and storage project. Here is what it could mean for local suppliers and how to get ready.

The Nurabad solar plant with a battery storage system is moving ahead. Energy Minister Sherzod Khodjayev visited the site with Saudi company ACWA, UzA reported on 24 October. The project is under active construction, not on paper. That means equipment, installation work and service contracts are coming.
A solar plant with storage is more than panels. It needs inverters, cables, transformer substations, control and monitoring systems, steel structures, concrete, machinery, security and logistics. The storage side adds battery modules, fire suppression, climate control for containers and dispatch software. Some of this is bought through the developer's international tenders. The rest goes through local subcontractors who pick their own suppliers.
What this means for suppliers
Winning a direct contract with a large energy developer is hard. The bar on experience and certificates is high. Subcontractors and installation firms are easier to reach, and they need local materials and services. If you supply cable, steel, concrete, fasteners, workwear or protective gear, or you provide security and logistics, this project is worth a look. IT and automation firms can offer monitoring and dispatch systems, but they must prove their skills and compatibility with the developer's equipment.
No one can say when the tenders will appear. The developer has not published purchase dates. Construction is underway, and buying usually comes in waves as each stage finishes. Prepare early, not on the day an announcement drops.
According to TenderLabs data for 25 October 2026, the Energy section has 735 open lots. That is the largest pool after construction. Competition in the sector is real. Without a ready document pack, you will miss the deadline.
What to do now
- 1Build your document pack in advance: founding papers, tax and debt clearances, proof of similar deliveries. Check that your digital signature is valid today, not the day before the deadline.
- 2List the items you can actually supply to a site like this: cable, steel, concrete, fasteners, workwear, services. Be honest about where your price or delivery time wins.
- 3Find the general contractors and installation firms working on the site in open sources. Send them a commercial offer directly. Subcontractors often recruit before a tender is announced.
- 4Check your certificates. Energy sites usually require conformity documents for materials and work permits. If something is missing, start the paperwork now.
- 5Set up tender monitoring in Energy and related categories so you do not miss announcements. Keep a ready offer and cost estimates on hand.
Nurabad is a long project with several stages. Suppliers who join early get more orders and more time to prepare. TenderLabs can help you track the right lots as they appear.
