Thursday carries a third of the month

Tenders do not arrive evenly across the week. TenderLabs data for the last 30 days shows 62,101 lots published in Uzbekistan, and 21,088 of them landed on a Thursday. That is one third of the whole month in a single day.

The other days are far quieter: Monday 8,403, Tuesday 8,012, Wednesday 8,381, Friday 9,140, Saturday 6,820, Sunday 257. Thursday does not lead by a few percent. It leads by a multiple.

We do not know the exact reason. Buyers likely prepare documents early in the week and publish by Thursday. Treat this as an observation, not official statistics.

What it means for your week

When a third of all lots appear in one day, it is easy to tell yourself you will catch up later. That usually backfires. Thursday brings a flood of notices, and by Friday the queue is long. No buyer will move a submission deadline for you.

Block one hour on Thursday to review new lots. You do not need to bid on everything. Filter out what does not fit and keep two or three worth a closer look. Friday then runs calm, and the weekend stays free of deadline stress.

Big lots and where they are

The largest lot of the month was a fuel additive (ADA-M) worth 8.6 trillion som. A big number does not mean you should chase it. Large procurements demand experience, resources and often a bank guarantee. If you are new, start with smaller lots and build a track record.

Tashkent leads by region with 13,943 lots. Tashkent region follows at 6,024, then Samarkand at 4,654. The capital offers the most choice and the toughest competition. Regions offer fewer lots but usually fewer rivals. If you can serve Samarkand or Tashkent region, look for a niche there.

Sectors and the takeaway

Construction is the busiest sector with 9,926 lots. Healthcare (7,147) and energy (6,549) come next. If you work in these fields, you have plenty to choose from. Smaller sectors mean fewer lots and less competition, which can work in your favour.

The main point: plan your week around Thursday. Keep that day free enough to scan new procurement and decide fast. TenderLabs data for 30 days shows this is when most lots go live. Use it, and stop leaving bid prep to the last day.
