President Shavkat Mirziyoyev met the heads of China's CAMCE, China Energy and Sinoma Energy at a meeting of the Foreign Investors Council. The Chinese companies plan to launch projects in Uzbekistan's oil and gas sector. UzA reported the meeting.
What it means for suppliers
Energy and oil-and-gas projects usually bring large orders for construction, equipment and installation work. If the projects go ahead, expect more lots in tenders for construction, energy, and equipment and machinery. For now these are plans only — there are no specific procurement notices or deadlines.
You can start preparing now. Check that your ERI (electronic digital signature) is valid, put company documents and financial statements in order, and set aside funds for the bid deposit (zakalat). Find out in advance which licences and permits the buyer will require.
According to TenderLabs data, 637 energy lots were open as of 18 October 2026. That shows procurement in the sector is already active — new projects could add to that flow.
